« Drinking makes me feel really high and adds to my style! ;

Reality is that the consumption of alcohol, especially in large quantities, can make you feel drunk, cause headache, instability, nausea, or vomiting. Did you ever think that all these make you feel down instead of feeling high? .

«Drinking wakes up all my senses! ;

Myth
If you exceed your limits, alcohol controls your senses. You totaly loose your self-control.

«Only alcohol gives me a sense of belonging and being important ;

You do not need alcohol if you know who you really are. You do not need alcohol to be accepted by your loved ones.

«Will running around the block a few times sober me up enough to drive home? If I have too much to drink, I can drink a lot of coffee to sober up quickly. Right? ;

Exercise won't sober you up any faster and drinking coffee after alcohol will not decrease alcohol concetration in blood. Only time can decrease alcohol in blood.

«Well, at least eating breath mints might fool the police officer, and alcotest, right? I think we should drink lots of water. ;

Myth
Alcotest will detect the alcohol already absorbed in your body. Eating mints will not affect your BAC level since it isn't the smell of your breath, but the alcohol content, that's measured. Water does not alter the quantity of alcohol, regardless of the quantity of water you might drink. Only concentration of alcohol in urine will be affected from drinking water after alcohol. .
